I've got two MLB player props from the same game for Thursday's slate. This is an early first pitch, so be sure to lock in these wagers before 2pm ET.
I'm honing in on the Cardinals vs Pirates matchup, expecting a stellar pitching performance (at least in the strikeout department) on both sides. Here are my two MLB player props for June 13th:
June 10th Strikeout Prop: Mitch Keller Over 5.5 Ks (-104)
Pirates vs Cardinals Matchup Preview - Game Time: 2:11 pm ET
They're begging me to take the over with this line. Keller has racked up eight strikeouts in each of his. last two starts and beat this 5.5 K line in five of his last eight outings.
He also pitches quite well against current Cardinals hitters, with St. Louis batters owning a .221 career average and .295 on-base percentage against him. Both Paul Goldschmidt and Nolan Arenado are hitting under .240 in their lifetimes against Keller, with four and five strikeouts, respectively.
In his last outing against the Cardinals at the end of last season, Keller pitched six innings, allowing one run and striking out eight.
The Cardinals' lineup has also been big-time scuffling lately. They've got a collective .233 average and .655 OPS in the last two weeks, striking out 103 times in their last 12 games (8.5 per start).
June 10th Strikeout Prop: Lance Lynn Over 4.5 Ks (-175)
Pirates vs Cardinals Matchup Preview - Game Time: 2:11 pm ET
Lance Lynn is having a pretty surprising bounce-back season. The 37-year-old is rocking a 3.58 ERA on the season and has been a pretty reliable five strikeout guy. His standard line for this start is over 5.5 Ks, but I'm going to take the alt-line at over 4.5. Lynn has surpassed 4.5 strikeouts in five of his last six starts.
The Pirates have also been just as bad as the Cardinals, offensively, lately. Pittsburgh's lineup owns a collective .232 average and .638 OPS over the last two weeks, striking out 108 times in the last 11 games (9.8 per outing).
I'm on both these SP strikeout overs, so I don't hate these two props parlayed with the game's under 8.5 runs. That same-game parlay would come in at about +331.
