YRFI/NRFI Picks For Today: Gomber Goes, We Bet Runs!

Y/NRFI picks are your new best friend if you want instant MLB action. Personally, I hate waiting for my bets to hit, so I'm all in on this popular betting format.

Here are my two Y/NRFI picks for Wednesday, June 12:

Pick 1: Rockies vs Twins: Yes run First inning (-105)

Matchup Preview - Game Time: 1:40 pm ET

The Rox have never let me down on this bet. My only quarrel is that the sportsbooks have caught on, and we aren't seeing plus-money odds. -105 will have to do.

If you've followed my Y/NRFI picks, you know the drill: Colorado is the GOAT of YRFI, racking up an MLB-best 41-26 YRFI record. Austin Gomber goes for the Rockies, fresh off allowing a first-inning run. In fact, the lefty has been terrible in the first inning this season, allowing 13 earned runs (9.75 ERA) alongside a 7-5 YRFI record.

Need I continue? Well, if you need more persuasion, Twins starter Pablo Lopez is no saint either. The righty is 8-5 NRFI, but his ERA ballooned to 5.45 after his last start, and opponents own an .823 OPS off him in the first inning of games.

Pick 2: Blue Jays vs Brewers: No Run First Inning (-115)

Matchup Preview - Game Time: 2:10 pm ET

We're hitting on more day-game delight as the Brewers host the Blue Jays for a series finale. Toronto famously had a stretch of 29 consecutive NRFIs on offense, but that's long gone, and the Blue Jays order is a little more fearsome these days.

Spencer Horwitz has been a welcome addition to the lineup, adding at least a threat to score. But that's still all hopes and dreams. At the end of the day, I'm fading the Jays offense when I can. Starter Chris Bassitt helps, too, as his sparkling 0.69 ERA in the first inning is a strong anchor for our bet.

Brewers starter Tobias Meyers was previously a weak link, but he's countered three straight YRFI with four consecutive scoreless first frames, giving me some belief for five in a row.
