Christian Yelich and the Brewers face the Twins

MLB Same-Game Parlay Today: Cubs vs Brewers (+425)

It's a new day and another MLB same-game parlay, this time for a Thursday, May 30 matchup between the Chicago Cubs and Milwaukee Brewers. First pitch is scheduled for 1:10 p.m. ET, so don't miss this afternoon's action.

Here's my MLB same-game parlay for this late-night showdown, where I analyze three parlay legs:

Cubs vs Brewers Same-Game Parlay: May 30

The Game: Cubs vs Brewers - 1:10 p.m. ET

BetOdds
Jameson Taillon UNDER 4.5 strikeouts+125
Sal Frelick OVER 1.5 total bases-160
Brewers ML-125
Overall+425

Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 1: Taillon UNDER 4.5 Strikeouts

I'm infatuated by the value of this strikeouts prop. Jameson Taillon hasn't been missing bats lately, as evidenced by his career-low 5.9 K/9. He's also gone UNDER 4.5 strikeouts in six of seven starts this year.

On Wednesday, the Brew Crew smashed NL ROTY favorite Shota Imanaga for seven earned runs. The lefty generated just one lousy strikeout in 4.1 innings of work. If Milwaukee is hot enough to crush Imanaga, I can't wait to see them go to town vs Taillon.

Taillon's strikeout stuff hasn't been sharp, and Milwaukee is one of baseball's hottest teams right now.

Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 2: Frelick OVER 0.5 Total Bases (-160)

You can throw a dart and find any Brewers hitter who's been hot lately. Sal Frelick happens to be our man of the hour this time around. Not only are Frelick's odds fair (-160), but he's also been hot lately by his standards, racking up an .876 OPS in his last 10 contests.

Frelick has a bit of history against Taillon, too, batting 2-for-6 lifetime against him with two singles. We aren't asking much of the Brewers outfielder. At -160, I'll happily mash him into our same-game parlay.

Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 3: Brewers ML (-125)

Congratulations to the Brewers for being the only team in the NL Central with a positive run differential. Okay, I know that's not saying much, but this club has been consistently productive on offense and in the pitching department despite limited expectations entering the season.

For example, starter Colin Rea is a great example of Milwaukee's quiet success. Rea hasn't been fantastic by any means, but he's been serviceable (106 ERA+). Rea also dices the Cubs. Current Cubs hitters are 2-for-16 lifetime vs Rea, good for a .312 OPS.
