We've got another MLB same-game parlay, this time for a Friday, May 17 matchup between the Rays and Blue Jays. First pitch is scheduled for 7:07 p.m. ET.
Here's my MLB same-game parlay for this late-night showdown, where I analyze three parlay legs:

Rays vs Blue Jays Same-Game Parlay: May 17
The Game: Rays vs Blue Jays - 10:10 p.m. ET
Bet | Odds |
---|---|
Chris Bassitt OVER 5.5 Strikeouts | -135 |
Isaac Paredes OVER 0.5 total bases | -180 |
Rays +1.5 | -150 |
Overall | +400 |
Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 1: bassist OVER 5.5 Strikeouts
Chris Bassitt has found his rhythm after some ugly pitching earlier in the season. He's now ripped off two consecutive quality starts, leaving him with a strong chance for three in a row against his old enemy, the Rays.
Tampa knows Bassitt's splits (.995 OPS vs LHHs), and the Rays will stack lefties Friday, but that doesn't mean Bassitt is pooched. Here's why: active Rays hitters own a measly .608 OPS vs the right-hander. No one hitter has more than 11 at-bats vs Bassitt, too, which tells me no one has seen him enough to figure out a rhythm.
The Rays are struggling right now, too, and Bassitt's infinite pitch mix will leave them twirling at the dish, where we can capitalize on the over-strikeouts.
Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 2: Paredes OVER 0.5 Total Bases (-180)
Paredes is just 1-for-9 lifetime vs Bassitt, but it's only a matter of time before the big fella runs into one. He's got tons of pop (.500 SLG) and loves hitting at Rogers Centre, where he owns an .832 OPS with four homers in just 14 games.
More importantly, the 25-year-old is great at mashing breaking balls this season. We know how much Bassitt loves his loopy curve. Paredes slugs .452 on breaking pitches, so I'll bet he sits curveball and swings away.

Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 3: Rays +1.5 (-150)
While I believe Bassitt will have a great game, I can't say I have much faith in Toronto's bullpen. That's why I'm taking the runline. The Jays 'pen has blown four saves this season, but even if that doesn't happen, the runline bet gives us some buffer.
Bassitt can keep the game close, but offense might be tough, especially since Toronto is the worst club in baseball with RISP (.566 OPS). The runline serves as a nice anchor to our three-leg parlay.
