After getting off to a hot start, the St. Louis Cardinals look to be in a funk. They’ve dropped 10 of their last 13 games and will lean on Adam Wainwright to right the ship tonight vs the Atlanta Braves. The Braves counter with Julio Teheran, who owns a 3.00 ERA in three home starts this season, but Atlanta has been hit-or-miss at Turner Field with an 11-11 SU record in 22 games in Georgia.
The Braves opened as slight -105 favorites with a total of 10.
This one may come back to bite me because Adam Wainwright and Julio Teheran are known to have outings where they give up 5+ earned runs but I’m willing to roll the dice on this one mainly because of how poorly the Cardinals have been at the plate lately.
The Cards have stars through the entire batting order but can’t seem to put runs on the board and I’m riding with that trend in this one mainly because of how high this total is. If this was lower than 10, I’d stay away from the total and side with the underdog Cardinals just because of the value.
The Cardinals are 3-10 SU and 5-8 ATS in their last 13 games.away The Braves bullpen ranks 21st in MLB in ERA (4.51).home The UNDER has hit in Julio Teheran’s last 4 starts. home
