Orioles vs Rays 9-14-2023

YRFI/NRFI Picks For Today: Rays-O's +105 YRFI

Y/NRFI picks are your new best friend if you want instant MLB action. Personally, I hate waiting for my bets to hit, so I'm all in on this popular betting format.

Here are my two Y/NRFI bets for Monday, June 10:

Pick 1: White Sox vs Mariners: No run First inning (-130)

Matchup Preview - Game Time: 9:40 pm ET

This bet seems suspiciously easy. Firstly, the M's and White Sox represent two of the weakest offenses in baseball. The sadness is only made worse by Chicago's recent losing skid, where the club lost a franchise-record 14 straight games before snapping it Saturday.

The Mariners and White Sox both own sub-.233 BA in the first inning. Seattle's offense has scored a run in just 17 of 67 games. On the mound, Logan Gilbert is 11-2 NRFI, while Sox starter Eric Fedde is 11-2 NRFI, including eight consecutive scoreless first innings.

I wish the odds were better, but this is what happens when two of the NRFI GOATs go head-to-head for a low-scoring matchup.

Pick 2: Orioles vs Rays: Yes Run First Inning (+105)

Matchup Preview - Game Time: 6:50 pm ET

Love, love, love this bet. Firstly, the odds at +105 are great for a Y/NRFI bet. Secondly, the pitching matchup isn't all that it seems.

Corbin Burnes. Elite starter, right? Sure, but he's been a first-inning putz. When Burnes starts, the O's are 8-5 YRFI. It's not necessarily Burnes' fault each time, but, for whatever reason, Baltimore has eventful first frames when their ace is on the hill. That's a great baseline for our bet.

The Rays have Ryan Pepiot going, and he follows a similar blueprint. A decent pitcher this season (3.96 ERA), Pepiot fumbles in the first frame, rocking a 6-4 YRFI record, elevated by his 8.10 first-inning ERA.
