World Series Odds: Dodgers Biggest Mover

The Los Angeles teams and the Giants up the California coast were the biggest movers on the World Series odds menu after Tuesday’s MLB trade deadline passed.

The Dodgers, who picked up Shane Victorino, Brandon League, and Hanley Ramirez in separate trades, surged from 22/1 to 14/1 on the baseball futures list at Bovada.

The Angels were also active, snagging Zack Greinke from Milwaukee to bolster their rotation. They moved from 10/1 to 15/2 into the third betting choice (behind the Rangers and Yankees).

And the Giants countered the Dodger moves by acquiring Philly outfielder Hunter Pence. San Francisco started the week at 15/1 odds and was 12/1 this morning at Bovada.

Texas remained the No. 2 betting choice after grabbing Ryan Dempster from the Cubs, and the aging Yankees remained the top pick at 19/4.

The Phillies – preseason favorites – fell to 75/1 after their trades but they did not dismantle their starting rotation. Cliff Lee was rumored to be on the block and he threw a shutout and stole a base on Tuesday to celebrate staying in Philly.
