Quaker State 400 Odds: Larson Tops the Oddsboard

Kyle Larson is favored in the Quaker State 400 odds at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Following a weekend doubleheader at the Tricky Triangle and a road course race at Road America, the NASCAR Cup Series returns to a more conventional racetrack, Atlanta Motor Speedway, for the Quaker State 400. This is the first 1.5-mile oval since Nashville, where Kyle Larson drove to victory, and Larson is once again the favorite in Quaker State 400 odds.

Online sportsbook BetOnline Sportsbook has set the Quaker State 400 odds with Larson entering the weekend as the +225 chalk. He is followed by Kyle Busch at +725, Chase Elliott at +800, Denny Hamlin at +1000 and Martin Truex Jr. at +1000 to round out the top five drivers on the oddsboard.

Are you seeing some value in the Quaker State 400 odds but don’t know how to place a bet on the race? Our How to Bet NASCAR guide helps you with everything you need to know to place a wager on the upcoming race at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Why is Larson the Favorite in the Quaker State 400 Odds at Atlanta Motor Speedway?

In seven 1.5-mile tracks run this season, Kyle Larson has won three of them and had three other top-five finishes, including two as the runner-up. Additionally, the current leader in the Cup standings and the favorite in the NASCAR Cup championship odds was well on his way to winning four straight races until a last-lap blown tire at Pocono dashed those hopes.

Larson has competed at Atlanta seven times in a Cup car, with only two top-five finishes, but both of those were second-place finishes and in March he led 269 of the 325 laps but finished second. Quite simply, of late, if it is a conventional racetrack, Kyle Larson will be set as the betting favorite.

NASCAR Prediction This Week for the Quaker State 400: Atlanta Motor Speedway

I’ve been all over the Hendrick Motorsports train recently, mostly just riding Larson because he’s been so dominant all season, leading in wins and laps led (by nearly 700) and tied for the most top-10s and top-fives. While I am playing Larson, I have two other drivers providing good Quaker State 400 odds who aren’t Hendrick drivers.

Kyle Larson +225: I don’t really have much to say anymore about the No. 5 machine. Week in and week out, he is a contender to win the race and has simply been the most dominant driver in the Cup series this season. If you fade him, you’re doing so hoping that a pit strategy works in your favor or he gets into an accident. Aside from those scenarios, you can count on Larson being toward the front.

Kyle Busch +725: I’ve said a couple of times that I wouldn’t take Kyle Busch again, but he keeps sucking me in. Busch picked up his second win two weeks ago and has three straight podium finishes. He’s shown that he is competitive when he has a chance to feel out the car and the track before the actual race. With the Cup Series having visited Atlanta in March, Busch and his team should have some data and he’s starting outside of row 1. Look for Rowdy to be challenging for another win.

Brad Keselowski +1400: This might be the first time that I’ve taken Keselowski this season and perhaps that will pay off at 14:1. It hasn’t been a great season for Brad with just one win but Fords have dominated Atlanta, winning each of the last five runnings, with Keselowski grabbing two of those checkered flags. It could be a bit of a stretch for him to find victory lane given that he hasn’t shown much prowess this year, but he’s offering good value.
