Odds to Win the Coke Zero Sugar 400: Keselowski Opens as the Betting Favorite

Coke Zero Sugar 400 NASCAR Betting Odds

The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series makes its second trip to Daytona International Speedway for the Coke Zero Sugar 400. Brad Keselowski opens as the +775 favorite to carry the checkered flag in the night race at Daytona.

Following Keselowski at 5Dimes is Joey Logano at +850, Ryan Blaney +950, Denny Hamlin at +1100, Kevin Harvick at +1150, Kyle Busch at +1200, Chase Elliott at +1300, Clint Bowyer and Kurt Busch at +1350 and Aric Almirola at +1650 to round out the top 10.

Keselowski Seeks First Win of the Season

Keselowski is one of eight drivers to have double-digit top-10 finishes this season with 10 but has yet to find victory lane in 2018. The Michigan native conquered the July summer running at Daytona in 2016, leading 115 of the 160 laps in that race. Ford cars have won five of the last eight races at Daytona, however, Austin Dillon ended the three-race winning streak for Ford when he drove his Chevrolet to victory lane in February at the Daytona 500.

Keselowski has struggled in more recent times at the 2.5-mile tri-oval, crashing in the last three races and having an engine issue in 2015. However, he has qualified seventh or better in three of the last four races at Daytona, including starting fifth in the race he won in 2016. Keselowski found himself inside the top 10 in four of the last eight races that he finished on the track.

Risky Bets: Busch and Harvick

This season has been the Kyle Busch and Kevin Harvick Show, with 10 wins and 1,979 laps led combined. However, both drivers have had their difficulties at Daytona in recent times.

Harvick earned a victory at Daytona in 2007 and again in 2010 but has finished inside the top five just four times since. In addition, the California native has an average finishing position of 17.2 over his 34 starts at the tri-oval and has crashed in three of the last four races. There is a bright spot, though, as Harvick, under the Stewart Haas Racing team, switched to Ford in 2017 and he led 50 laps in the 2017 Daytona 500, the only race he finished in over the last four.

Similar to Harvick, Busch earned a win years ago at Daytona but has struggled recently. The Nevada native won the 2008 summer race at this tri-oval but has landed in the top five just three times since then. He has finished 20th or worse in eight of the 18 races since he won that 2008 race. There have been only two Toyota wins at Daytona: Busch was the first and Denny Hamlin was the second in 2016.
