Kyle Busch is the favorite in the New Hampshire Motor Speedway Odds.

Kyle Busch Leads the Oddsboard in Foxwoods Resort Casino 301

There are just seven races remaining before the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series playoffs begin. It’s crunch time for those drivers who have yet to punch their ticket to compete for the championship, while top-performing drivers look to start dialing in for a playoff push. Kurt Busch clinched his playoff position last week with his win at Kentucky, but it is his brother Kyle who is favored to win at New Hampshire this weekend with odds of +265.

Online sportsbook Sportsbook has Kyle Busch as the favorite at +265 followed by Martin Truex Jr. at +425, Kevin Harvick at +650, Brad Keselowski at +850, Joey Logano and Denny Hamlin at +1000, Chase Elliott at +1400, Clint Bowyer at +1600 and Kurt Busch at +1800 to round out the top drivers on the oddsboard.

Standout Stats

  • Toyota has won eight of the last 12 races at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Ford won three of the remaining four and Chevrolet got one win over that span, in 2016.
  • The Sportsbook has qualified outside of the top five in 10 of the last 12 runnings at this track, with six of them starting outside the top 10.
  • Kevin Harvick (+650) is still searching for his first win of the season. He won last year’s race at Loudon and has finished inside the top five in six of the last eight races at this track, including another victory in 2016. Despite his victory last year, he only led 12 laps, which are the only 12 laps he has led at this track since switching to Ford in 2017.
  • Kyle Busch (+265) has finished on the podium at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in seven of the last 11 races, including two victories and four second-place finishes. He has also led multiple laps in 10 of the last 13 runnings at this track.
  • Martin Truex Jr. (+425) has led 100 or more laps at Loudon in four of the last five races and last year he led 83, which was the most of any driver. He has finished in the top five in three of those races but has yet to drive to victory lane.
  • Aric Almirola (+2800) had a strong running at this track last year, leading 42 laps and finishing on the podium in third place. This was the first time he ran at New Hampshire under Stewart Haas Racing. He had one other top-five finish back in 2013 when he was in worse gear under Richard Petty Motorsports.

My Best Bets for the Foxwoods Resort Casino 301

Kyle Busch (+265)

Martin Truex Jr. (+425)

Extreme Sleeper Aric Almirola (+2800)

Kyle Busch and Martin Truex Jr. have been extremely dominant at this track in recent history, constantly leading a pile of laps and threatening to carry the checkered flag at the end of the race. I expect both of them to be in the hunt with top-five finishes and I like the chances that one of them ends up in victory lane.

I like a half-unit play on Aric Almirola as well. He had a fourth-place finish at Phoenix, another one-mile track, leading 26 laps, and had a very good showing last year at Loudon in the first year with his new team. Not sure he has what it takes to grab the checkered flag but I think he’s worth a long shot at +2800.
