NASCAR Betting: All-Star Race

The Sprint Cup Series will offer bettors something a little different on Saturday night, as the circuit ditches its regular schedule for the week to offer up its 2012 All-Star event.

That means it'll be a large cash prize - and not the usual standings points - that'll be the incentive for the Sprint Cup Series drivers as they take to the track at Charlotte Motor Speedway under the lights on Saturday.

Jimmie Johnson has won NASCAR's All-Star event twice (in 2003 and 2006), and he's sitting as the 5/1 favorite on the NASCAR odds at Sportsbook to pick up the victory at the race again this week.

Tony Stewart, who won this race in 2009, is then at 11/2, with Kyle Busch at 8/1, and defending-champion Carl Edwards sitting with Greg Biffle and Matt Kenseth at 9/1. Kenseth won in 2004.

2007 champion Kevin Harvick is then at 10/1, followed by Denny Hamlin at 11/1, and each of Brad Keselowski, Kasey Kahne, and Jeff Gordon at 12/1. Kahne won this race in 2008, with Gordon cashing in at the event in both 1995 and 1997.

Two-time champion Mark Martin (1998 and 2005) and 2002 Sportsbook Ryan Newman then join Clint Bowyer and Marcos Ambrose at 25/1 on those NASCAR odds at Sportsbook, with 2010 Sportsbook Kurt Busch set at 35/1.
