Marcos Ambrose will be looking to finally pay off on the NASCAR odds at Sonoma on Sunday afternoon as he competes against the Sprint Cup Series field at the 2012 Toyota/Save Mart 350.
Ambrose finished third on the road course at Sonoma in 2009, sixth in 2010, and fifth in 2011, but he's still searching for his first victory in the Toyota/Save Mart 350 this week.
Those solid results over the past three years, however, have Ambrose pegged as the +300 favorite at Sportsbook to take the checkered flag this weekend, with each of Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon, and Tony Stewart back of him at +600 to win the race.
Johnson won the Toyota/Save Mart 350 in 2010, Stewart visited Victory Lane at Sonoma in 2005 and 2001, and Gordon finished in first place at the event in each of 2006, 2004, 2000, 1999, and 1998.
Juan Montoya, the 2007 champion at the Toyota/Save Mart 350, is at +800 to get the victory this week, with 2008 Sportsbook Kyle Busch tied with Kevin Harvick at +1000 on the NASCAR odds at Sportsbook.
Brad Keselowski then sits with 2009 Sportsbook Kasey Kahne at +2500, with Clint Bowyer, Denny Hamlin, Carl Edwards, and Martin Truex Jr. all at +3000, and 2011 Sportsbook Kurt Busch at +4000.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. has never visited Victory Lane at Sonoma, and he's a longshot at +5000 to get the win on Sunday afternoon. Earnhardt Jr. held off Stewart last weekend to win the Quicken Loans 400 at Michigan.
