Kyle Busch is the favorite in the Pocono Raceway odds.

Kyle Busch in Pole Position on Oddsboard for Gander RV 400

With six races remaining before the playoffs, the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series looks to solve the Tricky Triangle in the Gander RV 400 at Pocono Raceway. Last week at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Kevin Harvick got the monkey off his back by grabbing his first checkered flag of the season and he has odds of +600 to return to victory lane on Sunday. However, it is Kyle Busch who is favored to win at Pocono, topping the oddsboard at +275.

Online sportsbook Sportsbook has Busch as the favorite at +275 followed by Martin Truex Jr. at +450, Brad Keselowski and Kevin Harvick at +600, Denny Hamlin at +1000, Joey Logano at +1400, Chase Elliott at +1600 and Ryan Blaney and Kyle Larson at +2000 to round out the top drivers on the oddsboard.

Standout Stats

  • Chevrolet has won seven of the last 14 races at Pocono Raceway. Toyota drove to victory lane five times over that span, including the last four in a row, and Ford collected two wins.
  • The pole sitter has gone on to win the race just once in the last 12 races with the average starting position for the Sportsbook being 9.58.
  • Kyle Busch (+275) has won the last two races at the Tricky Triangle and three of the last four, while also leading at least one lap in each of the last eight races there. He has four victories this year and his last win came at Pocono in June.
  • Brad Keselowski (+600) has finished inside the top five in seven of the last eight races at Pocono, including three second-place finishes. The lone race without a top-five finish was the result of a crash. He has led at least one lap in each of the last six runnings there but hasn’t earned a victory since 2011.
  • Kevin Harvick (+600) has never driven to victory lane over 37 starts at the Tricky Triangle but has seven top-five finishes over the last 10 runnings, including four second-place finishes.
  • Erik Jones (+2500) is making his sixth start at Pocono in his young career and he has had three top-five finishes, including two third-place finishes. Additionally, he has led at least one lap in three of his five starts at the Tricky Triangle.
  • Joey Logano (+1400) earned a victory at the Tricky Triangle in 2012 when he was driving a Toyota, but he has had an average finish position there of 17.77 since switching to Ford in 2013 and has just three top-five finishes over that 12-race span.

My Best Bets for the Gander RV 400

Kyle Busch (+275)

Sleeper Pick: Erik Jones (+2500)

Busch has been absolutely dominant at the Tricky Triangle recently, including leading 79 of the 160 laps at this track just seven weeks ago as he claimed his third win in four races at Pocono.

Meanwhile, Jones finished third in that race, his second third-place finish at Pocono in just five career runnings, and he has four third-place finishes over the last eight races overall this season. The value he’s providing is worth a wager.
