Harvick Has Best Odds To Win Coca-Cola 600

Kevin Harvick, driver of the #4 Jimmy John's Ford, leads a pack of cars during the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series All-Star Race at Charlotte Motor Speedway

The NASCAR field is set to take to Charlotte Motor Speedway for the longest race of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, the Coca-Cola 600, on May 27. The dominant Kevin Harvick is the +200 favorite to claim the checkered flag at the 600-mile race for the third time in his career.

Coca-Cola 600 Favorite: Kevin Harvick

There have been times this season when Harvick has looked absolutely unstoppable. The No. 4 Ford has already taken first place in five races this season – in addition to winning the all-star race last weekend, which does not count toward the standings.

Other racers may be hoping that the lengthy race could give them an advantage over Harvick but he has consistently excelled at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Harvick has finished inside the top 10 in each of the last seven Coca-Cola 600s, which includes his two victories, in 2011 and 2013.

Another plus for Harvick bettors? The 42-year-old has won three of the four races this season on 1.5-mile tracks. That just happens to be the length of Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Martin Truex Jr. Is The Driver To Watch At Coca-Cola 600

Martin Truex Jr. was so close to winning the Coca-Cola 600 last season but ultimately ended third because of poor fuel management. You know that Truex and crew chief Cole Pearn won’t let that happen again.

Truex has finished in the top five in five of the last six races at Charlotte Motor Speedway – not including the all-star race – and has taken the checkered flag twice in that span. The No. 78 driver has a feel for the track like few others in the field and, even though he is not a massive underdog, Truex is worth a look despite winning just one race this season.
