Doing everything this year but win a race, Kyle Busch is the favorite to take down the Overton’s 400 at the Pocono Raceway this weekend after nearly taking the checkered flag at the last event hosted on the triangle track.
Sportsbook has the younger Busch brother as the +350 fave with Martin Truex Jr. (+450), Kyle Larson (+700), Jimmie Johnson (+700) and Kevin Harvick (+700) slotting in behind him to make up the top five.
Despite failing to win a race on the Monster Energy circuit this season, Busch finds himself fourth in the driver standings with seven top-five finishes. A victory at Pocono this weekend would propel him into the top three and put him within striking distance of Truex for the outright lead.
Kyle was actually in line for his first win last week at the Brickyard but he had his day ended by Truex when the Cup points leader took himself out along with one-half of the Busch party.
Another top contender has to be Denny Hamlin at +1100. The Florida native has four wins at the Pocono track in 23 starts there and he’s been running hot with two top-five finishes in his last three weeks.
