Betting Stuff You Missed On Outkick Today

As always, I joined Clay Travis on Outkick the Coverage on Fox Sports Radio this morning. Below is a quick look at what we talked about today and you can listen to the segment right here also.

Wizards-Celtics home trend

The Wizards are getting 4.5 points on the road tonight in Game 5 in Boston and I mentioned I’m taking Washington.

The home side has won and covered the last eight meetings between these teams but I think tonight’s game will buck the trend. The Wizards have found a way to limit Isaiah Thomas (32 points in Games 3 and 4 after scoring 86 in Games 1 and 2) and I don’t like the lapses the C’s have had in this series.

Boston gave up runs of 16, 22 and 26 points in Games 1, 3 and 4 in this series and it’s so tough to win when you can’t step up your D when you need to.

Cavs-Warriors Finals is inevitable but what will the odds be?

Earlier this week, a Cavs-Warriors Finals was priced at -280. It’s now -350 and you can get close to 3-1 if you think any other team will make the Finals.

Clay asked me what I think the game odds would look like in this series and I said I think the Warriors might be around -4 or -4.5 in Game 1.

That might be a tad inflated but bettors love LeBron, and the Cavs proved they can beat this team in 2016. Last year’s Finals saw point spreads of between 2 and 6.5 points and the Cavs went 4-3 against the spread.

Houston a 6.5-point fave to open for Game 6

The swings are pretty volatile in this series for me. The home side is laying between 5 and 6.5 points all series – a change of up to 12 points from game to game.

Two Game 7s in the NHL

I took the Pens at +160 and the Ducks at -110. I think experience beats youth in Anaheim and this price is just way too high to take the Caps in the other series at -180.

Btw, the home side wins Game 7 at 58 percent going back to 1939.

The Players Championship props and picks

One book has an over/under prop on shots in the water on the 17th hole at 41.5. (Clay mentioned he parred 17 when he played Sawgrass. He said the crowd did not go wild but a par is nice on this hole.)

A couple guys with long odds I mentioned to keep an eye on are Jason Dufner 80-1 and Martin Kaymer 65-1.

Trump odds to finish out his term

Social media collectively lost its mind yesterday after the president fired FBI director James B. Comey. Many are calling for Trump to be impeached immediately.

I always look to the oddsmakers for the truer story on these things and Sportsbook actually made President Trump a bigger favorite to finish out his term overnight, moving him from -120 to -130.  ‘No’ was even money if you want to bet that he won’t finish his term for any reason.
