Kyrie Irving Cleveland Cavaliers NBA Playoffs

Pistons Just Can’t Solve Cavs in Playoffs

The Cleveland Cavaliers can complete a four-game sweep of the Detroit Pistons in their Sportsbook round playoff matchup Sunday evening, but if you know the history between the two Central Division rivals, this shouldn’t come as a real surprise.

Shark Bites
  • The Cavs are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games following a SU win.
  • UNDER is 5-1 in the Pistons last six games at home.
  • UNDER is 6-2 in the Pistons last eight games versus the Central.

The Cavs are currently 6.5-point road favorites at online shop Sportsbook. The total is tabbed at 198 with OVER priced at -115 and UNDER at -105.

Dating back to the 2007 postseason, the Cavs have now won 11-straight games versus the Pistons when the two meet up in the playoffs. Just as distressing, for Pistons backers at least, is the fact that they’ve gone just 1-10 against the spread during their 11-game losing skid.

Lost in that, however, is the fact that the Pistons probably feel hard done by down 3-0. They’ve played very competitive basketball in the Sportsbook three games and have gotten balanced scoring from a slew of players with Kentavious Caldwell-Pope leading the way at 17.3 points per game.

Kyrie Irving was excellent for the Cavs in Game 3 as he recorded 26 points in the 101-91 victory. The Cavs have been an excellent wager off of one day’s rest, as well, as they’ve gone 6-1 ATS in their last seven games in that spot.

Sportsbook Odds & Computer Pick

The visiting Cleveland Cavaliers betting line opened this morning as -6.5-point favorites in this one at most sportsbooks tracked at Odds Shark (including Sportsbook), while the total was hovering around 198.5 at Sportsbook and other betting odds shops.

A 105-100 result in favor of the Cavaliers is the prediction by the Odds Shark handicapping pick engine. View the computer score prediction and who will win the pick on the moneyline for all upcoming NBA matchups here.
