    Sportsbook Odds Analysis

    The Clippers opened as 7-point favorites in this matchup, but action on the Mavericks has bumped the line down slightly to Los Angeles -6.5. The movement on the total has been much more severe as bettors have hammered the UNDER since the total opened at 216 points to move it all the way down to 210 points. The UNDER is 4-2 so far in this series.

    Luka Doncic went just 2-for-9 from three-point range in Dallas’s 104-97 loss to the Clippers in Game 6 on Friday night. Doncic still ended the game with 29 points, 11 assists and eight rebounds, but it wasn’t enough to outduel Kawhi Leonard and the Clippers. Tim Hardaway Jr. finished second on the team in scoring with 23 points in the loss.

    While all eyes will be on Luka Doncic and Kawhi Leonard on Sunday afternoon, Kristaps Porzingis could be an X-factor in the game. Porzingis scored only seven points on Friday and has taken only 13 total shots from the floor in Dallas’s last two games. The big man averaged 12.5 field goal attempts and 17 points per game in the Mavericks’ wins in Game 1 and Game 2; getting him going again could help Dallas pull off the upset in this one.

    Los Angeles News & Notes

    Kawhi Leonard simply would not be denied in Game 6. Leonard shot a blistering 18-for-25 from the floor and made five of his nine three-point attempts en route to a 45-point performance. Leonard has been outstanding in this series with 32.8 points and 7.5 rebounds per game through the first six games of this series. Paul George has also been solid in this round with 23.8 points, 9.5 rebounds and five assists per game.

    Last season, Leonard and George went a combined 10-for-38 and scored only 24 total points in a heartbreaking 104-89 loss to the Denver Nuggets in Game 7 of the conference semifinals. The Clippers were 7.5-point favorites at home in that game. This eerily similar spot in 2021 gives these two superstars a shot at redemption on Sunday.

    Betting Pick: Dallas +6.5

    Luka Doncic and Kawhi Leonard have both been incredible in this series and it’s hard to see either of them letting his team go down without a fight. This feels like a game that will go right down to the wire, which makes getting 6.5 points on the Mavericks too good to pass up on.
