Phoenix Suns Vs. Cleveland Cavaliers
The Game: Phoenix Suns vs. Cleveland Cavaliers, 7:30 p.m. ET
Team | Spread | Money | Total |
---|---|---|---|
Phoenix Suns | -6 (-112) | -240 | O 220.5 (-112) |
Cleveland Cavaliers | +6 (-108) | +198 | U 220.5 (-108) |
Pick: Cleveland Cavaliers +6
It's admittedly a risky play taking the injury-ridden Cleveland Cavaliers to cover the six-point spread against the Phoenix Suns, but there's method to the madness.
Cleveland is missing Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley due to injury, while both Dean Wade and Max Strus are questionable on Monday as well. With that being said, the Cavaliers have literally went back and forth in the win-loss column over their last eight games, neither winning or losing consecutive games since Feb. 27.
Phoenix is formidable even without Devin Booker, but its not exactly an ATS monster at 1-5 over its last six outings. The Suns are also one of the weaker road teams currently in the Western Conference playoff picture, leaving the door open for the Cavaliers to cover a favorable spread and perhaps even pull off the upset entirely.
Dallas Mavericks vs. Chicago Bulls
The Game: Dallas Mavericks vs. Chicago Bulls, 8 p.m. ET
Team | Spread | Money | Total |
---|---|---|---|
Dallas Mavericks | -4 (-110) | -172 | O 233 (-110) |
Chicago Bulls | +4 (-110) | +144 | U 233 (-110) |
Pick: Dallas Mavericks ML
Trusting the Dallas Mavericks comes with a degree of fear and anxiety. Luka Doncic is riding the longest streak of 30-point triple-doubles in NBA history at six games, yet Dallas has only split during that stretch with a 3-3 record SU.
The Chicago Bulls present more of a threat than their 31-33 record SU would lead you to believe. They had won three in a row before falling to the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday, and have been playing their starters heavy minutes relying on the efforts of DeMar DeRozan, Nikola Vucevic, and Coby White even more so as of late.
Dallas won against the Bulls back in November, but Chicago had Zach LaVine that night and the Mavericks' roster has undergone a transformation around Doncic and Kyrie Irving since then. Rookie Derrick Lively II is also expected to return after being absent last game for personal reasons, improving Dallas' chances even more so.
Boston Celtics Vs. Portland Trail Blazers
The Game: Boston Celtics vs. Portland Trail Blazers, 10:30 p.m. ET
Team | Spread | Money | Total |
---|---|---|---|
Boston Celtics | -9.5 (-110) | -420 | O 217 (-110) |
Portland Trail Blazers | +9.5 (-110) | +330 | U 217 (-110) |
Pick: OVER 217 Total Points
The Boston Celtics are the massive favorites both on the spread and moneyline and rightfully so, with the only true upside being in the OVER/UNDER if you're looking to make bank.
Sure, the total has gone UNDER in five of their last six games, but they're still ranking third in the league in points per game at 120.8 points during that span. The Portland Trail Blazers have also hit the OVER in five of their last six outings, as well.
Kristaps Porzingis has been ruled out with a bad hamstring, and the rest of Boston's starting lineup is questionable with a litany of injuries. Be sure to monitor the status of those players, as they're availability could impact the viability of an OVER wager here.
