Curry-Less Warriors Seek to Close Out Perfect Road Trip On A High Note

The Golden State Warriors got the job done in their first game without Stephen Curry in the lineup and are only one win away from sweeping their longest road trip of the season heading into Friday’s matchup with the Detroit Pistons.

Sportsbook opened the Dubs as 4.5-point road favorites with a total of 213.

Shark Bites
  • The Pistons are 6-1 SU and 5-1-1 ATS in their last seven games against Western Pacific teams.
  • The total has gone OVER in the Warriors’ last three games against the Pistons.
  • The Warriors are 11-2 SU in their last 13 games against the Pistons.

Curry went down with an ankle injury late in Monday’s 125-115 win over New Orleans and will likely be sidelined for a few weeks. Kevin Durant stepped up in a big way with a triple-double of 35 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists in a 101-87 triumph over Charlotte on Wednesday. Golden State was also without starting power forward Draymond Green but got 22 points from Klay Thompson on 9-of-14 shooting.

The Pistons haven’t had the same kind of success away from Michigan, as the club is coming off a tough 0-4 SU road trip. Each of the last three losses came by five or fewer points, but the bright spot has been Andre Drummond. The big man, who’s taken a major leap this season, collected 27 points on 12-of-16 shooting and 20 rebounds in Wednesday’s tilt with Milwaukee to record his fourth straight double-double.

Beating good opposition never seems to be a problem for Golden State. In the Warriors’ last 10 against teams with winning records, they’re 9-1 SU and 7-3 ATS.
