Durant Heads Back to OKC With Thunder Rolling at Home

Get your Photoshop open and your crying Jordan memes ready – Kevin Durant is heading back to Oklahoma City for a visit with Russell Westbrook and the Thunder. OKC will be rested up for the highly publicized affair but the Warriors will be playing their second game in as many days. That hasn’t seemed to affect their performance in the win column, as they're 8-1 in their last nine on the second half of a back-to-back, but it has affected their success at the betting window as Golden State is just 1-5 against the spread in their last six games in that category.

SHARK BITES
  • The Thunder are 8-1 SU and ATS in their last 9 games at home.
  • The total has gone UNDER in 7 of the Warriors' last 9 games against teams in the Northwest.
  • The Warriors are 3-13 SU in their last 16 games on the road against the Thunder.

There will be plenty of motivation on both sides of the ball for this one. Russell Westbrook is out to prove to the world that he doesn’t need Kevin Durant – or anyone else for that matter – to get it done, while KD and the Warriors are in the midst of a tight race with the Spurs and Rockets in their search for Western Conference supremacy.

The first two matchups between these teams since the pivotal decision by KD both resulted in lopsided victories for the Warriors but tonight’s game is a different story. OKC has been absolutely rolling at home and is coming off a massive nine-point win over the East-leading Cleveland Cavaliers.

If nothing else, this game will be entertaining as hell and will almost definitely create enough Twitter fodder to hold us over for a few weeks. Personally, I can’t wait.
