Dubs in Possible Lookahead Spot Friday

Thanks to a pair of dominant performances in the last two games, dedicated Golden State Warriors backers have put a four-game ATS losing skid behind them and will hope for the momentum to continue when the Dubs host the Indiana Pacers as 13.5-point favorites Friday night.

Shark Bites
  • The favorite is 7-3 ATS in the last 10 games in this matchup.
  • The Pacers are 9-1 ATS in their last 10 games with two days off between games.
  • OVER has gone 6-2 in the Warriors’ previous eight games.

There is the possibility of the Warriors falling victim to looking ahead here, however. All-star Paul George and the Pacers should never be taken lightly, the Warriors get the matchup that NBA fans and bettors have been waiting for when they host the San Antonio Spurs Monday.

While many will be looking ahead to that dream matchup next week, looking back to this week’s results shows the Warriors have bounced back from a tough loss in fine fashion. The Warriors lost 113-95 to the Detroit Pistons last Saturday but followed that up with a 132-98 thumping of the Cleveland Cavaliers and a 125-94 beatdown of the Chicago Bulls – both of which came on the road. The Pacers, who at one point earlier this season had an 11-1 ATS run, head into the contest ice-cold at the betting window.

The Pacers have failed to cover the spread in four-straight games overall and five of their last six. The team is coming off a 97-94 SU win at the Phoenix Suns in their last game, but failed to cover as 5.5-point faves.

Golden State needs to be careful if it does have that Spurs game in the back of its mind. Paul George and Co. have no issues racking up the points – their eighth-best 102.5 points per game is all the proof you need – and they’ll be eager to make a statement with a big showing in Oakland Friday.
