Lakers Stay Hot With Big Win Over Trail Blazers

The Lakers picked up an impressive 128-109 win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday to keep their hot streak going. LeBron James had 31 points to lead Los Angeles while Anthony Davis (27 points, 12 rebounds) and Austin Reaves (22 points) also had big games. Jerami Grant (27 points), Anfernee Simons (22 points) and Justin Winslow (21 points) each had 20-plus in the loss.

After a horrific start to the season where they went 2-10 through their first 12 contests, the Lakers have battled back to get within four games of .500. Davis has been a monster for Los Angeles during November and even better over the last couple weeks, averaging 31.3 points per game in his last seven contests.

Middleton Set To Make Season Debut On Friday

The Bucks stretched their win streak to three games on Wednesday with a 109-103 victory over the New York Knicks. Giannis Antetokounmpo had a classic performance with 37 points and 13 rebounds, while Jrue Holiday (22 points) was the only other Bucks player to finish with more than 11 points. RJ Barrett had 26 points to lead New York while Mitchell Robinson (15 points, 20 rebounds) was also impactful for the Knicks.

The big news out of Milwaukee is that Khris Middleton is finally slated to make his season debut on Friday. The all-star forward had surgery in July to repair torn ligaments in his wrist and hasn’t played since Game 2 of the first round last season. Middleton averaged 20.1 points per game last year as the team’s second-leading scorer behind Antetokounmpo.

Lakers Player Prop: Davis OVER 26 Points (+110)

Davis has arguably been the driving force behind the Lakers’ current run, leading the offense while also doing damage on the glass. Based on his current form, the power forward should be a lock to clear the OVER on 26 points against the Bucks.

Bucks Player Prop: Antetokounmpo OVER 34 Points (+106)

34 points is obviously a lofty target but Antetokounmpo is one of the few players in the league who can realistically hit that number on any given night. The Greek freak has scored 30-plus in five straight contests and 36 or more in four of those games – a pretty promising trend if you’re looking to bet the OVER.

Lakers Keys To Win:

Los Angeles can credit its recent success to some offensive improvement as the stars are scoring while also getting some help from secondary options like Reaves and Lonnie Walker IV. The Lakers are banged up with multiple players listed as questionable for Friday’s game, but if they’ve got their full lineup they could give the Bucks a challenge.

Bucks Keys To Win:

The Bucks will get a nice little boost with Middleton injected back into the lineup, though he will likely be on limited minutes for the time being. Milwaukee ranks 16th in the NBA in points per game (112.3) just behind Los Angeles, so they’ll certainly be happy to get one of their best scorers back in. With Antetokounmpo playing so well, the Bucks should be able to outscore the Lakers.
