NBA Rookie of the Year Odds

The ninth pick in the NBA Draft is the favorite to win Rookie of the Year, according to the odds released by one sportsbook.
Bovada has Minnesota Timberwolves guard Trey Burke listed as a 4/1 favorite, ahead of Orlando Magic guard Victor Oladipo (11/2).
Burke was a prolific playmaker at Michigan, leading the Wolverines to the National Championship Game against Louisville. Burke had 24 points in the Wolverines’ loss to Louisville, but his collegiate career was full of highlight-reel plays. He has the potential to make an immediate impact for a T-Wolves team that features superstar Kevin Love.
A surprise No. 1 pick, Cleveland’s Anthony Bennett is listed at 10/1, along with Ben McLemore of the Sacramento Kings. Bennett, out of UNLV, has loads of talent, but is raw, after playing only one year in college.
Kentucky center Nerlens Noel was the favorite to be the No. 1 pick, but questions about his injured knee caused him to fall to the New Orleans Pelicans at No. 6. Bettors who believe Noel will be back at full strength could receive some value at 33/1.
Some darkhorse contenders include Atlanta Hawks point guard Shane Larkin (16/1), Phoenix Suns center Alex Len (14/1), and New York Knicks guard Tim Hardaway Jr. (25/1).
