Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 1: Anthony Edwards OVER 28.5 Points

An Anthony Edwards with everything to gain and nothing to lose is a scary thought, because he's one of the few Timberwolves players who hasn't appeared mentally defeated in the midst of this three-game losing streak. He was the first one to admit that Denver was going to punch back after going down 0-2 with two losses at Ball Arena, but Minnesota was fully capable of throwing an uppercut or two themselves. Now that hasn't happened as of yet, but if anyone is going to rise to the occasion to dig the Timberwolves out of this hole, it's the man drawing Michael Jordan comparisons (fair or not) at the age of 22.

The Nuggets made adjustments in Game 5 and kept Edwards in check after his 44-point outburst in Game 4. He went 5-of-15 from the field on Tuesday and finished with just 18 points to go along with four turnovers in 44 minutes of action. It was Edwards' second-lowest scoring output of the playoffs and the second time in three games he finished with less than 20 points.

Each time this postseason he has scored fewer than 20 in a game, Edwards has come right back and dropped 36 points or more the next time he's taken the hardwood. That should once again be the case on Thursday with Minnesota needing perhaps his greatest effort to date to overcome the reigning champions in a do-or-die situation.

Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 2: Aaron Gordon OVER 20.5 PTS + REB

The utility man on the Nuggets in Aaron Gordon has been a pleasant and welcome contributor throughout this series as teammate Michael Porter Jr. struggles to find a rhythm offensively with three games of single-digit scoring.

Gordon is averaging 17.4 points and 5.2 rebounds (both second on the team) in 34.7 minutes against the Timberwolves. He's toppled the player prop of 20.5 points plus rebounds in three of his last four appearances, as well, reaching a high of 34 in Game 4 when he scored 27 points and grabbed seven boards in Denver's eight-point victory.

Defensive Player of the Year Rudy Gobert is tied up with Nikola Jokic in the low post, and Karl-Anthony Towns appears hobbled, freeing up Gordon to continue imposing his will as someone who hasn't shot worse than 50 percent from the field through these five games.

Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 3: Nikola Jokic OVER 8.5 Assists

One has to expect that Gobert is going to put up more resistance defensively against the newly-crowned three-time Most Valuable Player in Jokic, at least if you're being incredible optimistic after seeing the Stifle Tower not live up to the moniker as of late.

Denver isn't going to give Jokic a ton of rest in Game 6, one would think, as he's been such a mismatch for anyone the Timberwolves throw at him that it's difficult not to exploit that early and often. His back-to-the-basket game is sublime, and even on those possessions in which he gets crowded under the rim or can't get the shot he desires, Jokic's ability to pass out of double teams, or dish it around the lengthy body of Gobert, is pure art.

His 13 assists in Game 5 marked the first time since Game 4 of the opening round against the Los Angeles Lakers that Jokic recorded double-digit dimes. He's hit the OVER on 8.5 assists seven out of 10 playoff games and on three occasions against the Timberwolves, as well.
