Odds on the Dubs Catching the 95-96 Bulls

Golden State Warriors Draymond Green

The high-flying Golden State Warriors have been hogging the NBA headlines all season long, and for good reason. The Warriors, who were sitting at 61-6 SU and topping the Western Conference as of March 16, haven’t missed a beat in the wake of last year’s championship campaign and are undoubtedly the team to beat as the postseason approaches.

The 1995-96 Chicago Bulls’ 72-win season has stood tall in the history books, however it’s in major jeopardy now. If Golden State can pick up at least 12 wins in its remaining 15 games they’ll officially become the best regular season team in history.

If you’re confident the Dubs can (or can’t) do just that, online book Bovada has some props available for the occasion. The shop is offering a -300 chance Stephen Curry and company break the record, with the NO coming in at +200.

March 19’s road date with the San Antonio Spurs presents the toughest test for the Warriors, while the Clippers (March 23) and two more games with the Spurs (April 7 and 10) will not be a walk in the park. Considering the latter are the second and fourth last games of the season, Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich may be inclined to rest his aging stars, but it’s up in the air as of now.

Golden State is a phenomenal 32-0 at Oracle Arena this year – just behind San Antonio’s 33-0 mark at AT&T Center – and the odds of them finishing the season undefeated at home are +200. Due to Saturday’s matchup between the Western Conference foes in the Lone Star State, the Spurs’ chances of finishing the season perfect at home are available at +350.

It’s extremely rare for the Warriors to lose back-to-back games, which is why their chances of doing so are listed at -600. In the event it happens, though, the prop is there at an appealing price of +400.

The NBA’s real season is on the horizon, and these Western Conference foes are very likely not seeing the last of each other. Strap on your seat belts, hoops fans. This is going to be a wild ride.
