Nets are in Need of a Big Bounce-Back Performance in Game 4

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson #24 of the Brooklyn Nets reacts in the fourth quarter against the Philadelphia 76ers during game three of Round One of the 2019 NBA Playoffs at Barclays Center on April 18, 2019 in the Brooklyn borough of New York City.

The Philadelphia 76ers didn’t need Joel Embiid to get the job done in Game 3 of their best-of-seven series with the Brooklyn Nets, and the Sixers have an opportunity to take a commanding 3-1 series lead when they visit the Nets in Game 4 tonight. Sportsbooks opened the Nets as 2-point home underdogs with a total of 231.

76ers vs Nets Game Center

Standout Stats

  • Ben Simmons stepped up in Embiid’s absence, as the LSU product scored 31 points and Tobias Harris added 29 of his own along with 16 rebounds for Philly. The 76ers are average 138 points in their two wins in the series after scoring only 102 in the Game 1 setback.
  • Nets guards D’Angelo Russell and Caris LeVert scored 26 points apiece in Game 3 but couldn’t keep up the the 76ers’ relentless offensive attack, which led to at least 32 points in each quarter of the contest.
  • Brooklyn has been struggling mightily to compete with Philly on the glass. The Nets have gotten outrebounded 103-75 by the Sixers over the last two games.
  • Philadelphia has also been dominating in the assist category. Through three games, the 76ers have 75 assists while the Nets have 47.
  • Nets sharpshooter Joe Harris, who lead the NBA with a 47.4 mark from beyond the arc during the regular season, is 0-for-6 from 3-point range in the past two games.

My best bet for 76ers-Nets

OVER 231 points

Philadelphia’s offense has broken out in a big way the last few games, and it looks like the Nets are having an extremely tough time stopping the high-octane 76ers. Philly’s offensive explosion has made them a reliable OVER bet, so give me the OVER in Game 4.
