Suns Look To Win Seventh Straight Road Game vs Mavericks

Phoenix cruised to another win on Monday with a 121-107 victory over the San Antonio Spurs. Devin Booker dropped a season-high 48 points as the Suns outscored the Spurs 34-16 in the fourth quarter en route to their sixth straight road win and fourth straight victory overall.

The Suns, who top the NBA with a record of 34-9, have also been the league’s best road team this season at 17-4. Booker has been especially hot over the team’s six-game road winning streak, averaging 31 points per contest. Chris Paul has been dishing the ball well too, with 11.7 assists per game over that same span.

Deandre Ayton (ankle) is out while Abdel Nader (conditioning) is questionable for Thursday’s game.

Mavs Have Won Six In A Row On Home Court

The Mavericks extended their win streak to four games on Wednesday as they eked out a 102-98 victory over the short-handed Toronto Raptors, who used just seven players. Luka Doncic did the bulk of the damage for Dallas with a season-high 41 points and 14 boards.

While the Suns have been hot on the road, the Mavs have been just as hot at home, winning six consecutive contests at American Airlines Center – their longest home streak since November-December 2018. Dallas faces arguably its toughest test of the season over the next week, taking on the Suns, Memphis Grizzlies and Golden State Warriors in succession.

Sterling Brown (foot) is questionable for Thursday.

Suns vs Mavericks Pick & Insights

Suns: Keys To Cover

Phoenix is the favorite in our Suns vs Mavericks prediction and for good reason: they’re the top team in the league and they’ve been excellent of late, winning seven of their last eight games. The Suns also boast the NBA’s third-best offense (112.5 points per game), led by the red-hot Booker. Look for them to win their ninth straight game against the Mavs on Thursday.

Mavericks: Keys To Cover

With the league’s 25th-ranked offense, Dallas certainly won’t be able to outscore a high-powered Phoenix attack. Instead, the Mavericks will have to play to their strength – defense. Dallas is allowing just 102.7 points per game (3rd) and if the Mavs can hold Phoenix to that number, they’ll be in good shape to cover or even win.
