Focusing squarely on a single game of great significance didn't result in much success in the NBA player props market on Wednesday, so let's get back to basics and expand our horizons to multiple matchups as we move forward to Thursday's slim five-game slate.
Here are four more expert player prop picks for your units, including a combination prop for New York Knicks forward Mikal Bridges (-112) on the road at Little Caesars Arena on April 10, 2025.
Mikal Bridges OVER 20.5 Points + Assists vs. Pistons (-112 at Sportsbook)
Preview: New York Knicks vs. Detroit Pistons, 7 p.m. ET
Coming off a tough 119-117 overtime defeat at the hands of the reigning champion Boston Celtics on Tuesday, New York has elected to give several of its starters rest on Thursday even with an opportunity to clinch the No. 3 seed in the Eastern Conference at stake. O.G. Anunoby (thumb) and Josh Hart (knee) will both sit, as will backup center Mitchell Robinson (injury management), which therefore opens the door for Bridges to boost his numbers.
Bridges has already been a fairly steady contributor in the combined points and assists market anyway, reaching an OVER in 12 of his last 15 appearances. However, the three UNDERs have occurred in his last five games for the Knicks, with the optimism that he can break that cold spell stemming from the absences of key teammates.
The 28-year-old wing is averaging 20.7 points in three games this season versus Detroit, and that alone would get him to an OVER on Thursday. Tossing in assists offers a bit of wiggle room, as he's only averaging 2.7 in this particular matchup. The Pistons also rank 22nd in opponent's points per game over the last five games at 116.6 which does help a lot.
Kyle Kuzma OVER 12.5 Points vs. Pelicans (-120 at Sportsbook)
Preview: New Orleans Pelicans vs. Milwaukee Bucks, 8 p.m. ET
Kyle Kuzma is a mystery box of offense for the Milwaukee Bucks, as you're either going to be elated by what you find on his stat sheet or sorely disappointed with what he ends up offering at his value. Thankfully, as it pertains to Thursday's meeting with the New Orleans Pelicans, Kuzma tends to thrive when playing opponents who can't play a lick of defense, which is why he's getting a second look here.
The 29-year-old forward has exceeded 12.5 points in eight of his last 10 games against opposition ranking in the bottom third of the Association in points allowed. Kuzma has averaged 16 points in those games, with New Orleans currently ranking 26th in that regard with 118.7 points allowed for the season.
Looking at his scoring patterns, Kuzma has gone back and forth with OVERs and UNDERs at 12.5 points across his last six games, and after finishing with 10 points against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday, he appears due for an OVER. He also had 17 points during this stretch on the road versus the Pelicans on April 6.
Zach Edey OVER 11.5 Rebounds vs. Timberwolves (+114 at Sportsbook)
Preview: Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Memphis Grizzlies, 9:30 p.m. ET
We've made bank on rebounding props for Memphis Grizzlies rookie Zach Edey as of late, as the 7-foot-4 giant has excelled under interim head coach Tuomas lisalo with a grander role he simply wasn't receiving under Taylor Jenkins. Now facing the Minnesota and opposing center Rudy Gobert is the toughest test Edey has had to face since the coaching change was made, but it's still incredibly hard to turn away from these numbers.
Edey is averaging 14.2 rebounds over the last five games, ranking second amongst all players behind Gobert's 16.6 during that stretch. He'll need to stay out of foul trouble for the Grizzlies as his presence will be sorely needed to counterbalance Gobert, but if he does, the rebounding numbers for both centers should end up being very high as projected.
He's finished with at least 19 boards in each of the last two games and hasn't had fewer than 13 under lisalo, so with the plus-money value, Edey needs to be a priority for bettors both tonight and over these final few games.
Dyson Daniels OVER 14.5 Points vs. Nets (-106 at Sportsbook)
Preview: Atlanta Hawks vs. Brooklyn Nets, 7:30 p.m. ET
The leading betting favorite for Most Improved Player honors this year in Dyson Daniels has a few more opportunities to cement his place in the eyes of voters as a no-brainer pick, and playing the woeful Brooklyn Nets should help do the trick.
Daniels needs 15 or more points on Thursday to achieve an OVER for this scoring prop, which he's accomplished in each of his last two games, along with five of his last six and six of his last eight for the Atlanta Hawks. He's also gone OVER in five of his last six road games, as well, averaging 17.3 points.
"The Great Barrier Thief" has finished with 14 and 15 points, respectively, in two games versus Brooklyn this season, so oddsmakers know exactly what they're doing having his number set at 14.5. It's still a risk worth taking, though, especially considering the Nets are running their skeleton squad to close out the campaign.
