Kyrie Irving Player Prop Today: UNDER 22.5 Points (-102)

The worst thing Kyrie Irving could have done is stomp on the Celtics' logo, which he did back on May 30, 2021 as a member of the Brooklyn Nets. Since then, the eight-time All-Star is averaging just 20.4 points and is just 1-11 SU versus Boston with a true shooting percentage of 51.8 percent (h/t Keerthika Uthayakumar).

He's only connecting on 28.4 percent of his 3-pointers, as well, which is a monster dip compared to the 40.4 percent he's converting against all other teams during that span.

Despite playing 37 minutes in Game 1, Irving only managed to muster up 12 points on 6-of-19 shooting, including a goose egg from deep by missing all five of his perimeter attempts. The Celtics' All-Defensive Second team backcourt of Jrue Holiday and Derrick White made Irving a non-factor, which is hard to do. Since Irving hasn't exceeded 22.5 points in three of his last four meetings against Boston and four of his last six, the defense should once again be stifling enough to keep his production at bay.

Luka Doncic Player Prop Today: UNDER 39.5 PTS + AST (-102)

Luka Doncic did score a team-high 30 points in Game 1, but it didn't come easy. Boston relied on their elite defenders to play him straight up, turning away from a reliance on double teams to force Doncic into attempting shots they wanted him to take while closing off the passing lanes to his teammates.

That resulted in a playoff career-low one assist in 38 minutes, as well, which is incredibly uncharacteristic of Doncic since his previous low this postseason was five as the league leader in total dimes.

Since the start of the Western Conference finals against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Doncic has just one game with 30 or less points, and that was in Game 4 at home when he shot just 7-of-21 and still finished with 28 points. Now against the Celtics, the 25-year-old is going to have to shoulder even more of the offensive load if Irving can't reach the spots he wants combating Holiday and White, and if his other teammates can't get hot, then those assist numbers could remain low too.

Kristaps Porzingis Player Prop Today: OVER 22.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-115)

Kristaps burst back onto the scene in Game 1, knocking down 61.5% of field goals in his return to the floor. The 7-footer can simply rise up and shoot over most Mavericks defenders, and will often see single coverages as the Mavs focus on slowing down Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.

Even so, we're getting a discount on Porzingis' points, rebounds and assists combo for Game 2. He's gone OVER 22.5 in 10 of his last 12 games, including three of the five postseason games he's played in. The Latvian big will continue to get his legs under him as the series progresses. I love Kristaps OVERS in Game 2.

Jayson Tatum Player Prop Today: OVER 35.5 Points + Rebounds (-104)

Tatum had a quiet first game of the NBA Finals, knocking down just 37.5% of shots. He did however, grab 11 rebounds on the night, and has snatched double-digit boards in 10 of his last 12 games.

Mavericks coach Jason Kidd then decided to give number 0 some bulletin board material, labelling Jaylen Brown as the Celtics best player. He's gone over his number in six of his last eight playoff games. Let's bet on a motivated Tatum to put his stamp on these NBA Finals, and show the world who leads the 2024 Boston Celtics. Bet Tatum OVER 35.5 Points + Rebounds with confidence.
