NBA Playoffs 2024 Player Props: Timberwolves vs. Mavericks Game 4

The Dallas Mavericks will look to close out the Minnesota Timberwolves in a clean sweep with a Game 4 victory in the NBA's Western Conference finals, and we've got player props today involving some of the biggest names in the series like Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving, and Karl-Anthony Towns.

Here's a look at some of the more prominent player props to consider for this potential closeout game at the American Airlines Center.

Luka Doncic Player Prop Today: OVER 30.5 Points (-115)

The simple explanation here is that Doncic has scored at least 30 points in each game of this series against Minnesota, shooting 46.4 percent from the field and 40.6 percent from 3-point range. In fact, the Most Valuable Player finalist has seven games of 30 or more points this postseason out of a possible 15 outings, four of which have come in his last five attempts.

Now Doncic hasn't strung together four-straight games with this many points since early March, but Minnesota hasn't demonstrated an ability to rattle the 25-year-old superstar with its league-best defense, throwing a litany of different bodies at Doncic but to no avail. With a chance to book a ticket to the Finals on Tuesday, this could prove to be Doncic's most prolific scoring night of the series.

Karl-Anthony Towns Player Prop Today: UNDER 1.5 Made 3-Pointers (+150)

Towns is going to get out of his shooting slump sooner or later, but considering the magnitude of tonight's matchup, this may be his last opportunity to do so for a while.

The All-Star big man is only converting 13.6 percent of his shot attempts from behind the arc against Dallas, making three on 22 tries. This includes a giant goose egg in Game 3 on eight shots, as well. The safer play here would be to take the OVER because Towns continues to run the well dry with an abundance of attempts from deep despite his percentages being terrible, so he can make two and still have a horrible night. However, the plus money is calling our name, and the trends do show that Towns has just one game with at least two 3-pointers since Game 6 of the second round against the Denver Nuggets.

Kyrie Irving Player Prop Today: UNDER 4.5 Assists (-102)

Assists are more so the responsibility of Doncic, whose 26 assists against the Timberwolves are nearly double that of Irving in just two more minutes of playing time.

Irving still finishes with his fair share of dimes, but not nearly enough to justify taking the OVER on 4.5 assists for Tuesday. He's hit the UNDER in four of his last five appearances, ending with exactly four on three of those occasions. Now that's still a healthy amount, but he needs five to reach the OVER and that number hasn't come easy as of late.

Anthony Edwards Player Prop Today: OVER 6.5 Rebounds (-102)

Edwards has attacked the glass this series, averaging 8.3 boards per game.

We've seen a multitude of possessions where the 22-year-old has emphatically soared above the competition to snatch boards. He'll be doing all he can to will Minnesota to survival in Game 4. Ant has surpassed this number in three of this last four games, while averaging 6.6 rebounds per contest in 14 playoff games. Expect him to be around the ball at all times tonight. Add Edwards OVER 6.5 rebounds to your NBA player prop ticket tonight.

Karl-Anthony Towns Player Prop #2 Today: UNDER 30.5 Points, Rebounds, Assists (-104)

Karl-Anthony Towns points, rebounds and assists line remaining over 30 boggles the mind. The man looks lost on the court in the Western Conference Finals. He shot has betrayed him against the Mavericks and he continues to lumber into the paint like an Ent on drives. KAT is hitting on only 27.8% of shots, and a paltry 13.6% from deep in the series.

Don't expect to see anything special in an elimination game tonight. He's averaged only 15 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game this series. I expect his poor run of play to continue as the Timberwolves season gets put to bed in Game 4.
