NBA Playoffs Expert Picks Tonight May 3

The NBA playoffs keep on rolling with two monumental Friday night matchups.

David's Pick: Orlando Magic ATS -4

Home court has held throughout this first-round series, which makes the Magic the natural play to win and cover in Game 6. Orlando owns the third-best home record in the East, evidenced in the results of this series: two blowouts over the Cavaliers, and two covers in their previous two home games.

It also doesn’t help Cleveland that center Jarrett Allen will likely be out again with a rib injury.

Nick's Pick: Darius Garland UNDER 17.5 Points (-120)

Curiously, Darius Garland has taken 11 or fewer fields goals in four of the five games in this series. He's actually scored fewer than 17 points in seven of his last 10 games.

With Jarrett Allen (14.5 point prop) eating, Garland seems more than happy to play second fiddle to Donovan Mitchell (25.5 point prop). Which comes with some highs and some lows. He scored 23 points last game, but figures to regress in Game 6 after shooting 60% from deep in the Cavs win.

Garland has struggled on the road of late, scoring under his 17.5 point prop in seven of the Cavs last 10 away from home. We hit on Garlands UNDERs earlier on in the series, let's go back to the well on Friday night.

David's Pick: Los Angeles Clippers ATS -7.5

The road team has won three of five games in this dogfight of a West series, so we’re not putting a lot of stock in Dallas hosting Game 6. Kawhi Leonard is once again an unknown given his knee issue, but the Clippers have proven they can win without him.

Los Angeles may not win Thursday night, but that line just feels too big for a competitive series in which home-court advantage hasn’t meant much.

Nick's Pick: Kyrie Irving OVER 9.5 Assists & Rebounds (-140)

Kyrie (24.5 point prop) has gone over his assist and rebound total in four of five games so far this postseason. If the Mavericks have any hope of disrupting the status quo and challenging for an NBA Championship, they'll need the very best of Kyrie throughout this playoff run.

Thankfully, he's put up at least nine assists and rebounds in nine of his last 10 contests. Irving didn't have the greatest shooting night in Game 5, but was still productive while creating easy looks for his teammates. With the Mavericks role players likely to shoot even better at home for Game 6, expect Kyrie to continue to facilitate. I love the value on Kyrie OVER 9.5 assists and rebounds as he's surpassed this total in eight of his last 10 home games.

Bet on Kyrie to continue his outstanding postseason play.
