NBA Prop Bets Today: Where The Value Lies

Now let’s take a look at some of the best NBA player props and other types of NBA prop bets for today’s slate of games.

NBA Prop Bet #1: LaMelo Ball Steals

April 5: Charlotte Hornets @ Miami Heat

With our first prop bet of the night, we’ll take the OVER on LaMelo Ball steals. Ball is coming off some great performances on the defensive end as he been a menace at getting steals. I expect that to continue against a Heat team that is no stranger to turning the ball over.

In 61 games this season, he is averaging 1.6 steals per game, which has him ranked 10th in the NBA in that category. On the season, Melo has 113 steals which has him in seventh in the entire NBA in that category. He has recorded at least two steals in five straight games. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

The Miami Heat, Charlotte’s opponent tonight, rank poorly in the turnover category. They rank tied for 27th in the NBA with 14.6 turnovers per game.

The value on Ball recording at least two steals is too good to pass up.  You can place this bet at one of the premium NBA sportsbooks in the link below.

Our Pick: LaMelo Ball AT LEAST 2 Steals +100

NBA Prop Bet #2: Giannis Antetokounmpo Rebounds

April 5: Milwaukee Bucks @ Chicago Bulls

With our second bet of the evening, we are going to go with Giannis Antetokounmpo, of the Milwaukee Bucks, to go OVER his rebounds total.

For the season, The Greak Freak ranks eighth in the NBA in total rebounds (745), fifth in rebounds per game (11.6), and fourth in defensive rebounds (616). He has also recorded at least 13 rebounds in three of his last five games.

Antetokounmpo has played three games against the Bulls this season, and in those games he is averaging 15 rebounds per game. On top of that, the Bulls rank 29th in the NBA in both rebounds per game (42.4), and offensive rebounds per game (8.6).

Giannis should absolutely feast on the offensive glass. It wouldn't surprise me if the Bucks superstar recorded about 15 rebounds in this one. The total is high, but Giannis is that good of a rebounder to go OVER it.

Our Pick: Giannis Antetokounmpo OVER 12.5 Rebounds -114

How To Bet On NBA Player Props And Game Props

NBA player prop bets focus on a particular player’s performance in the game rather than the game’s result. The most common NBA player props focus on the total number of points a player will score in any given matchup. You can bet on any player to score OVER or UNDER their points total, set by the best NBA betting sites.

Besides points, NBA player prop bets can also include rebounds, assists, blocks, turnovers and fouls per game, and metrics such as shooting percentage and 3-point attempts per game.

NBA Game prop bets focus on end-of-game results, including but not limited to:

  • • Teams’ combined points to be odd or even
  • • Whether the game goes into overtime
  • • The team to reach 10 points or 20 points first
  • • Team to have the highest-scoring quarter
  • • Margin of victory
  • • The team to score first
  • • Team to win the first half
  • • Team to win the second half
