Boston Celtics Vs. Los Angeles Lakers

TeamSpreadMoneyTotal
Boston Celtics-5.5 (-108)-230O 183.5 (-111)
Los Angeles Lakers+5.5 (-112)+184U 183.5 (-115)

Expert Pick: Boston Celtics ML (-230)

This is the second matchup for both sides in this competition, with the Boston Celtics having lost 119-114 to the Miami Heat on Saturday while the Los Angeles Lakers got blown out 99-80 by the Houston Rockets on Friday.

Boston had five different players score 13 or more points against the Heat, lead by a combined 43 points from Jaden Springer and center Neemias Queta. The latter will be a problematic matchup for the relatively undersized Lakers, as the Portuguese big man Queta was able to notch 20 points and nine rebounds despite playing the fewest minutes of any starter versus Miami.

Los Angeles is going to struggle to score throughout this showcase, which was also apparent during the California Classic. The Celtics should cruise here.

Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Miami Heat

TeamSpreadMoneyTotal
Oklahoma City Thunder+7.5 (-108)+270O 182 (-110)
Miami Heat-7.5 (-112)-355U 182 (-110)

Expert Pick: Miami Heat ATS -7.5 (-112)

With Ousmane Dieng being shut down for the Summer League, the Oklahoma City Thunder's options are rather limited, although that may play to their benefit in terms of analyzing and scouting players on the roster as opposed to gunning for a title in Sin City.

The Miami Heat, on the other hand, have the clear-cut best player on either side in Jaime Jaquez Jr., who just notched a line of 29-11-5 against Boston. Rookie Kel'el Ware has also looked extremely impressive, as well, and should be an early depth contributor during the regular season backing up All-Star Bam Adebayo.

Simply put, Miami's top-end talent on its Summer League roster undoubtedly outshines that of Oklahoma City, which bodes well for covering the 7.5-point spread.

Detroit Pistons Vs. Houston Rockets

TeamSpreadMoneyTotal
Detroit Pistons+6.5 (-108)+210O 180.5 (-112)
Houston Rockets-6.5 (-112)-265U 180.5 (-108)

Expert Pick: OVER 180.5 Total Points (-112)

Much of the confidence in taking the OVER here stems from the Houston Rockets' prolific offense which just dropped 109 points on the Washington Wizards. Reigning Summer League Most Valuable Player Cam Whitmore had a game-high 25 points, while No. 3 overall pick Reed Sheppard and backup center Orlando Robinson each had 22.

The Detroit Pistons struggled against the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday with just 81 total points, but six different players had double-digit scoring at the very least.

A similar showing on Monday will help elevate the likelihood of this bet exceeding 180.5 points and boosting our units.
