Washington Wizards vs. Portland Trail Blazers

TeamSpreadMoneyTotal
Washington Wizards-1 (-110)-118O 181.5 (-110)
Portland Trail Blazers+1 (-110)-104U 181.5 (-110)

Expert Pick: Washington Wizards ATS -1 (-110)

The Washington Wizards have a distinct advantage here with the Portland Trail Blazers having just competed on Monday night in a narrow 97-95 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers. Washington last took the hardwood on Sunday, albeit in a blowout defeat at the hands of the Houston Rockets.

If everything goes according to plan, Washington can dictate the tempo of this game with its more prolific offense, especially from 3-point range. Portland's defense hasn't allowed a ton of points, but it can be exploited. It also may have a difficult time keeping up on the scoreboard, especially with lottery pick Donovan Clingan having failed to reach double-digit scoring as of yet.

No. 2 pick Alexandre Sarr hasn't shot the ball particularly well either, but his Wizards teammates have stepped up around him. Roll with Washington here to cover the narrow spread, essentially taking the matchup outright with it being just a single point.

New York Knicks vs. Brooklyn Nets

TeamSpreadMoneyTotal
New York Knicks+1.5 (-108)+110O 178.5 (-110)
Brooklyn Nets-1.5 (-112)-134U 178.5 (-110)

Expert Pick: Brooklyn Nets ML

The Brooklyn Nets are one of the more top-heavy lineups going, with very little depth sitting behind the starters. We just witnessed four of their prospects play 29 or more of a possible 40 minutes in a loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday, led by Keon Johnson's 27 points in 29 minutes.

The New York Knicks, meanwhile, were competitive in a 94-90 loss to the Charlotte Hornets in their only action thus far, with just two players scoring in double figures.

As rested as New York may be, Brooklyn's arsenal should be too much for them when they meet on Tuesday. We just haven't seen enough from the Knicks to think they'll pull off the upset at plus money.

New Orleans Pelicans vs. San Antonio Spurs

TeamSpreadMoneyTotal
New Orleans Pelicans-2 (-110)-128O 168.5 (-113)
San Antonio Spurs+2 (-110)+104U 168.5 (-113)

Expert Pick: UNDER 168.5 Total Points

Of the 30 teams competing out in Sin City, the New Orleans Pelicans and San Antonio Spurs both rank in the bottom third in points per game while each shooting 30 percent from behind the arc or worse.

New Orleans only scored 74 points in its opener against the Minnesota Timberwolves, and despite its .500 record, San Antonio hasn't exceeded 83 points as of yet.

With Spurs point guard Stephon Castle now out of the lineup for the remainder of the Summer League with a wrist injury, the watchability of this head-to-head takes a major hit, as does the potential for their being a ton of scoring. Feel free to take the UNDER here with confidence.
