NBA Playoffs 2024 Same-Game Parlay: Timberwolves vs. Mavericks Game 4

No team in NBA history has ever overcome an 0-3 deficit in a best-of-seven series, and with just a single game separating the Dallas Mavericks from their first Finals appearance since 2011, they'll look to solidify their spot with a Game 4 victory on Tuesday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves for a matchup in which we've assembled a same-game parlay for.

Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 1: Luka Doncic OVER 39.5 PTS + AST

Former head coach and current broadcast analyst Stan Van Gundy so eloquently dubbed Dallas' dynamic duo of Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving as the most talented offensive backcourt the league has ever seen, and it's not without reason. Doncic and Irving are the first backcourt to each score at least 30 points three times in a single postseason in the last 50 years. In the case of Doncic, he's scored 30 or more in four of his last five playoff games including the first three versus Minnesota.

He'll need a healthy dose of assists to complete this leg, as well, but if his scoring streak continues, it really should be a breeze. Doncic is averaging 8.7 dimes against the Timberwolves to go along with his 32.7 points, and he's nailed the OVER on a combined 39.5 points and assists in Games 1 and 2 and just fell 1.5 shy of doing so again on Saturday.

Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 2: Kyrie Irving OVER 23.5 Points

The beast inside was awoken the moment Anthony Edwards called out Irving by name ahead of this series as someone he wanted to match up with, and while the comments were innocent at first, from a competitive standpoint, all it did was inspire Irving to come out of a shell he was mostly contained to in the second round.

Irving has dropped at least 30 points twice this series after failing to score more than 22 against the No. 1-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder. He attempted at least 20 shots those two times, so Irving has certainly been more of a gunslinger as opposed to taking a backseat in the conference semifinals. Despite Minnesota's loaded defensive arsenal, the likes of Jaden McDaniels, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, and of course Edwards have failed to rattle Irving at all. If all he needs is at least 24 points, then this leg feels like a freebie in a potential closeout game.

Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 3: Naz reid 2+ Made 3-Pointers

There must have been a heavy breeze going through the American Airlines Center on Saturday because the Timberwolves' outside shooting from their bigs of Karl-Anthony Towns and Naz Reid was just awful, combining for a single triple on 13 combined attempts with the lone conversion coming from Reid.

This comes after Reid drilled seven in Game 2, although one of his misses would have changed the complexion of this series had it fallen through. Regardless, his 3.7 makes per game on the Timberwolves are the most on the team against Dallas, while his 55 3-point percentage is second. Towns can't buy a bucket at all, so we'll chalk up Reid's numbers in Game 3 as a rough night at the office that he's more than capable of bouncing back from.
