Trail Blazers vs. Thunder Odds

Brandon Roy's bad knee is likely to be a factor on the betting lines for Friday night's matchup between the Trail Blazers and Thunder in Oklahoma City.

Portland sits atop the Northwest Division standings and has fared well in the win column at 6-3 despite Roy's woes, while standing at a respectable 5-3-1 ATS. Oklahoma City is 4-3 SU and 2-5 ATS this season.

Six of seven Thunder games have seen the OVER payout this season, but Portland games have had the combined scored go UNDER the posted total in six of nine contests.

Oklahoma City has to play better defense if they hope to avoid dropping to 2-3 at home. They have allowed a dismal 103.9 points per game - near the bottom of the league - while scoring just over 100 points per game.

Russell Westbrook had 31 points and 12 assists, while Kevin Durant also netted 31 points, as the Thunder defeated the Sixers on Wednesday. If they can duplicate that all-star-calibre performance, it might pay off bettors handsomely.

Portland has one of the best defensive cores in the league, surrendering below 95 points per game. As well, the Trail Blazers sit near the top of the NBA in defensive categories – which could point to this game being on the low side of the scoreboard despite the presence of high-flying Durant.
