Warriors are a Fantastic ATS, OVER Bet

Golden State Warriors Andre Igoudala

The Golden State Warriors have consistently stolen the spotlight in the 2015 NBA campaign, which is to be expected when you enter December with a goose egg in the loss column. There’s been more than enough attention paid to the Warriors’ lights out play on the court, but there’s another area where the Dubs have been producing: at the betting window.

In the wake of Tuesday’s 131-123 victory over the Indiana Pacers, the Warriors extended their season-opening win streak to 23 games while also covering the closing -5.5 spread in the process. The Dubs improved to 15-7-1 ATS on the year – tying the Orlando Magic for the most covers in the league.

The Warriors’ success at home has been widely documented, and oddsmakers have clearly taken note. Golden State cruised to a sizzling 39-2 SU record at Oracle Arena in 2014-15 which has caused sportsbooks to become leery of “Roaracle” this season. When tasked with covering bigger spreads, Stephen Curry and company are a middle of the road 6-4 ATS in front of their hometown fans. On the road it’s been a different story, as Golden State has been a fantastic bet away from home (9-3-1 ATS).

Due to their fast-paced style of play, the Warriors have also become the top OVER team in the Association at 14-9 O/U. Ten of those OVERs have come on the road.

Breaking records is becoming commonplace for the Dubs, and many pundits around the NBA believe they have a legitimate shot of eclipsing the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls’ 72-win mark to go down in history as the best regular season team ever. Whether or not that happens, one thing is for certain: the Warriors are an extremely profitable squad that could go down as one of the best bets the NBA has ever seen, and if you're going to get on the train, do it now.
