Warriors vs Kings Picks & Odds Today: Sacramento Betting Favorites At Home

The Golden State Warriors head East tonight, but only 87 miles, for a throw down against the Sacramento Kings. Looks like the NBA's Pacific Division is up for grabs, with all five teams within three games of the top spot which belongs to the L.A. Clippers at the moment.

The Kings are coming off a sweet 123-100 win over the Wizards while the Warriors were STOMPED at home by the Celtics, 125-85. That FORTY-POINT LOSS was the WORST home defeat in all the years that Steve Kerr has held the X & O board.

Talk about average, Sacramento owns a 12-12 record at home while Golden State is 11-11 on the road. If you're into look aheads, the Warriors bus back home for a game against the Bulls on Wednesday night, while the Kings take off for a game at Denver tomorrow.

Golden State Warriors vs. Sacramento Kings Expert Pick

Sacramento Kings ML (-290)

What a difference a few years makes. After getting pummelled by the Celtics on Monday night, we had to scroll back to the 2021-22 season when the Warriors won the NBA crown. Yes, against the Celtics. The starting five was Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins and Otto Porter Jr. Klay is gone, Draymond is hurt and Porter is retired.

When they walked on to floor against the Celtics on Monday night, the only two starters from that championship team were Curry and Wiggins. The other three were Trayce Jackson-Davis, Dennis Schroder and Gary Payton II. Woulda been nice to have Gary Payton I, the Glove on the floor, to stop Boston's three-point barrage (20 of 48).

Curry knows what time it is. In a post-game interview, when asked about the shocking loss to Boston, he said "So, they're coming in with a level of confidence and swagger about 'em, and it's the exact opposite of what we have right now. So yeah, obviously great memories, but definitely feels like a long time ago." When your leader and number one guy says that the Celtics swagger is the EXACT OPPOSITE of what we have right now, there are ISSUES! And injuries play a big part.

Draymond Green did not play Monday, and will be out at least a week with a mild calf strain. Jonathan Kuminga injured his right ankle on January 4th and was ruled out for at least three weeks. Brandin Podziemski has been out with an abdomen injury, and Kyle Anderson did not play due to a glute injury. YIKES!

On the other bench, since they fired Mike Brown, the Kings have been FIRE! Doug Christie was named interim head coach on December 27, 2024, and lost the first game at the Lakers, 132-122. Since that game, the Kings ripped off a seven game winning streak and have won nine of the last 10. Guess the kids kinda like this Christie guy. And why not. He played in Sacramento for six years and has been the assistant coach since 2021. And remember all the hubbub around De'Aaron Fox and a possible trade. Since Christie took over, Fox has averaged almost 25 points per game, 7 assists and 5.6 boards. Hubbub gone.

And with support from DeMar DeRozan, Domantas Sabonis and Malik Monk, the Kings should be in the hunt for the Pacific crown for the rest of the season. SacTown for the money.
