Waters III was one of nine Warriors reserves who received 10 or more minutes of playing time with head coach Steve Kerr electing not to give his starters too much run in their first game, which seems to be the consensus amongst most teams in the preseason as a means to avoid meaningless injuries. That trend should continue on Wednesday, with the likes of Stephen Curry and Draymond Green perhaps playing even less with the start of the regular season just around the corner.
