February 11th College Basketball Trends & Picks

Taking the above trends alongside some more in-depth handicapping, here are a few picks I'm focus on for today's men's college basketball games:

Tre Donaldson OVER 1.5 3-pointers Made (-149 at Sportsbook)

Tre Donaldson averages two 3-pointers made and 4.7 attempts per game on the season. Lately, he’s just been chucking them up even more than usual.

In the last five games, Donaldson has gone OVER 1.5 3-pointers made in every contest. He’s averaging 2.4 makes from deep in that stretch and 6.0 attempts per game. In the last two games, Donaldson has had seven 3-point attempts both times. If he’s chucking up that many shots, we’ll have no problem getting above 1.5.

Donaldson and the Wolverines face a Purdue team that allows 7.9 3-pointers per game — around the national average.

Saint Mary's -9.5 vs Santa Clara (-110 at Sportsbook)

Saint Mary’s as a favorite has been electric lately. They're 10-1 outright in their last 11 as favorites and have covered the spread in nine of those last 11.

The Gaels have covered their last six games as at least nine-point favorites. They've won be an absurd average margin of 26.5 points in that run, including a 50-point victory over San Diego as 16.5-point favs.

Santa Clara has failed to cover the spread in their last two games as underdogs, so we're getting the benefit of the trends on both sides of this pick.
