Big 12 Tournament Betting Preview

The Big 12 features six ranked teams and there are several teams that have a real shot at winning the conference tournament. However, with Kansas sitting as the top ranked team in the nation, they hold the best odds (+130) to win the Big 12 Tournament.

The Jayhawks have been getting better as the season has worn on with victories over five ranked teams within the final month. Kansas is second in scoring offense, field goal percentage and three-point percentage within Big 12 play this season.

Oklahoma and West Virginia are close behind Kansas with both of them being listed at at +400 and +225 respectively. The Sooners started the season as one of the best teams in the country, but their over reliance on trays and their starting five has seen them end the regular season limping. The Mountaineers have also slowed as the season has gone on, but their scoring depth and defense makes them a constant threat.

Texas (+1200), Baylor (+700) and Iowa State (+800) are all listed under +1000 and could very realistically go on a run and win the tournament.

Two of the Top 5 ranked teams in the nation will be looking for No. 1 March Madness seeds as they progress through the Big 12 conference tournament this week.

No. 3 Kansas and No. 5 Missouri tip off Thursday on the second day of the Big 12 conference tournament. Before that, a pair of Texas vs Oklahoma battles take place on Wednesday and the Big 12 odds menu has been hopping all week.

The four lowest seeds in the Big 12 lock horns Wednesday as Oklahoma battles Texas A&M and Oklahoma State takes on Texas Tech. The Sportsbooks advance to face the aforementioned top seeds in Kansas and Missouri.

The Big 12 also features the No. 12 ranked team in the country in Baylor and the 25th ranked school in Iowa State. Baylor faces Kansas State Thursday while the Cyclones tackle Texas.

But don’t write off these low seeds. Last year, No. 10 Missouri made the final, losing to top-ranked Kansas in the Big 12 final. The Jayhawks are looking for their fourth straight Big 12 title.

Texas A&M is one of the lowest-scoring teams in the country away from home, but they face a team they have dominated ATS lately. They are 5-0 ATS against the Sooners recently.

Both teams are struggling with the Aggies 1-9 SU in their past 10 and the Sooners 2-8 SU. The Sportsbook gets Kansas.

Tech has lost 7 of 9 SU against the Cowboys, although they are just 1-4 ATS in their past five meetings.
