NCAAB Computer Picks - Free College Basketball Predictions

Our computer picks table uses a variety of variables such as a team’s recent play, home/away splits, injuries and the betting odds for each game for its predictions. The table displays how our computer picks have fared over the past 100 games of the college basketball season. Our computer’s algorithm picks the moneyline, spread, and total winner for each NCAAB game.

How to Use NCAAB Computer Picks

Before making your NCAAB picks, refer to our college basketball computer picks to see a predicted score for each matchup. You can also gauge whether or not our computer picks heavily favors a side or total in the game. Our college basketball computer picks can even provide value when you’re targeting an underdog. Further research can be done using our college basketball betting trends.

If you like a heavy favorite, but our computer picks believe it will be close game, you may want to do some further research before placing your college basketball bets. As you can see above, as things stand the table has been unprofitable on both moneyline and spread betting in the last 100 college basketball games. However, our computer picks have been extremely profitable when predicting totals of late, as $100 bettors would be up $599 when betting on our last 100 totals picks.

Moneyline

Betting on the college basketball moneyline is simple. You’re choosing which team you believe will win the contest. The NCAAB moneyline is a bet that includes the odds to win each contest. The favorite will be denoted by a (-), while the underdog will be labeled with a (+) symbol.

You may see a college basketball moneyline displayed like this:

TeamMoneyline Odds
Duke-110
North Carolina+120

In this instance you’d have to bet $110 on Duke to win $100, while a bet on North Carolina would pay out $120 plus your original $100 wager should the Tar Heels win the game.

Spread

A college basketball point spread is a wager on the margin of victory. A spread is the sportsbooks attempt to level the playing field of uneven matchups.

The favorite in every contest will be marked with a (-) along of the number of points they need to win by in order to cash your bet. The underdog will be a labeled with (+) sign and the number of points they need to avoid losing by.

A college basketball spread could look something like this:

TeamSpread
Duke-3 (-110)
North Carolina+3 (+120)

Here, the Duke Blue Devils would need to win by more than three points to cash your college basketball bet against the spread. While the North Carolina Tar Heels simply need to win, or lose by less than three points to cover the spread. The number in parentheses denotes the amount you have to wager to make $100.

Total

A total bet, sometimes called the OVER/UNDER is the total amount of points sportsbooks believe both teams will combine for in the game. Since college basketball games are shorter, and teams don't employ players like Steph Curry, you'll notice college basketball totals are often far shorter than NBA lines.

A college basketball total may look like this:

TeamTotal
Duke OVER 142 (-110)
North Carolina UNDER 142 (-110)

In this rivalry game Duke and North Carolina would have to combine for OVER 142 points for the OVER to hit.

You'd need to bet $110 on the OVER to receive a payout of $100. Conversely, if the game ends with a score of UNDER 142 total points, your bet loses. That same $110 bet would payout $100. Our Odds Calculator can give you a better idea of how much you'd win based on the amount wagered.
