The 2018 NCAA Tournament has been one for the UNDERs and underdogs so far.
Underdogs are cashing at 34-26 (56.7 percent) against the spread while the OVER/UNDER is 27-33 (55 percent for the UNDER). Hope you’ve been on the right side.
I’m now 31-29 against the spread picking every single game on Periscope. My Great White Shark picks have turned a nice little profit at 9-5 against the spread also.
With the Final Four upon us, here are four betting numbers you might find useful as you do your handicapping. Join me on Periscope for my picks for each game and I’ll let you know the times on Twitter @JonnyOddsShark.
1. Underdogs are on a 16-4 ATS run. They also won 11 of those games.
2. Average points per game in the tournament is 141.4. That’s a lot lower than last year.
3. The O/U is 0-5 in the five Final Four games with a total of 130 or lower going back to 1996.
4. Villanova has more OVERs than anybody this season with 25.
Keep these in mind when you handicap the last three games of the tourney and get more detail in the video above.
Something else to note is that these four teams are among the best bets in the nation. Combined they are 90-65-4 against the spread and they break down like this:
1. Loyola-Chicago 23-9-1
2. Villanova 26-12
5. Michigan 24-12-2
67. Kansas 20-16-1
Good luck in the final weekend of the tournament.
