The top team in the polls will get a sacrificial lamb in their Sportsbook game of the NCAA Tournament as the Florida Gators take on the Albany Great Danes in South Region betting action.

The Great Danes won their First Four matchup against Mount St. Mary's in Dayton on Tuesday by a score of 71-64. D.J. Evans led the way with 22 points for Albany in that victory, and Peter Hooley added 20 points for the Great Danes on the night.

Sportsbooks such as Sportsbook had the Gators as 21.5-point favorites in this opener. They have not lost since Dec. 2 and they have covered the spread all three times they were favored by 20 or more points in March Madness dating back 10 years.

This season, the Gators are 32-2 overall and 15-12-3 ATS, while the Great Danes are 19-14 and 4-0 ATS. As for the totals, Florida boasts a 9-20-1 on the OU, and Albany is 3-1.

It's a betting matchup between the No. 7-rated Gators and the No. 71-ranked Great Danes, according to the latest pro hoops power rankings here at Odds Shark.



Albany was a 71-64 Sportsbook in their most recent outing at home against Mount St. Mary's. They covered the 2-point spread as favorites.

Florida was a 61-60 Sportsbook in its last match at home against Kentucky. They failed to cover the 6.5-point spread as favorites. Florida got 14 points from Michael Frazier II en route to a 61-60 victory over Kentucky on Sunday at Georgia Dome.
