No. 4 Tennessee needs to get back on the wave of consistency after a few slip-ups in January. Now, the Vols host the No. 15 Missouri Tigers, who have their chests puffed out after back-to-back ranked wins. Tennessee enter as generous 9.5-point home favorites at FanDuel, looking to snag its 13th win at Thompson–Boling Arena.

Tennessee -8.5 (-120) at Sportsbook
The Volunteers sit fourth in the KenPom rankings, all courtesy of their suffocating defense that reigns No. 1 in the KenPom defensive ratings.
Last time out, Tennessee held Florida, the eighth best scoring offense, to 44 points and 24.5% from the field. Missouri's offense is on par with Florida, both currently averaging 83.4 PPG. However, the Tigers record a 37.9 3PT% while the Gators don't typically capitalize from the beyond the arc. Well, bad news for Caleb Grill and his teammates, the Vols rigorously protect the perimeter, allowing opponents a 26.0 3PT% for the best mark in the nation.
Dennis Gates is looking to build off the commanding 88-61 road win over Mississippi State, which earned him consecutive ranked victories. Rick Barnes also pulled off a win over the Bulldogs, but couldn't pull off upsets over Auburn and Kentucky. But holding those Auburn Tigers, college basketball's best offense, to 53 points and trailing by just a three-pointer when all was said and done is a summary of what Tennessee's defense is capable of.
Given the success we just saw from Tennessee against Missouri's play style twin (Florida), I'll back the Vols to show another defensive showcase on Wednesday night.
Zakai Zeigler OVER 12.5 Points (-120) at Sportsbook
Expectedly, Zeigler has been averaging over 35 minutes on the court since the New Year. His senior responsibility plants him second for team scoring with 12.3 PPG while simultaneously leading the Vols in assists (7.4). Missouri's defense isn't the biggest threat Zeigler has faced, sitting just inside the top 100 for scoring defense (68.6) and opponent rebounds (32.9). The Long Island native has cashed the OVER on 12.5 points in five of his last six outings, averaging 14 points in that span.
