Kansas won another Big 12 regular-season title, earning a No. 2 seed for this NCAA Tournament, its 26th appearance in a row.

But the Jayhawks are also just 6-11 against the spread in their last 17 NCAA Tournament games and they struggled mightily with the point spread down the stretch losing four of nine games SU. Rock Chalk will be double-digit chalk (per Bovada) when it opens this Big Dance Friday afternoon against New Mexico State in Omaha.

Kansas won the Big 12 for the 11th straight season, going 13-5, then reached the championship game of the conference tournament, but lost to Iowa State 70-66. The Jayhawks, though, are only 5-4 SU, 2-7 ATS over their last nine games, as they play through an injury to Perry Ellis and an eligibility issue with Cliff Alexander. Kansas owns victories this season over Michigan State, Georgetown, Utah, Lafayette (which won the Patriot League tournament), Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Iowa State and West Virginia, and beat Texas twice and Baylor three times. So it should be battle-tested.

Kansas failed to cover last year against a 15 seed and they might be a good bet to fail again. [ Free Bracket Game - Signup Bonus Specials - Bovada ]

New Mexico State carries a 13-game winning streak into the Dance. The Aggies won the WAC by going 13-1 in conference play, then won the conference tournament, beating Seattle in the championship game Saturday 80-61. New Mexico State hasn't played many lined games this season, but covered as a seven-point underdog at Mountain West Tournament champion Wyoming, as a 13-point underdog at Baylor and as a two-point underdog at Colorado State, possibly the tournament's worst-snubbed team.

The Aggies also won at UC-Irvine, which won the Big West tournament.
