Just three ranked programs feature in Friday's college basketball schedule and I'm wagering on 'em. Below I've outlined two player props for February 21 featuring Tre Donaldson to be suffocated by Michigan State's perimeter defense. Then, Chase Ross will keep his chin up on the road and hit the OVER on his rebounds vs Villanova.
Preview: Michigan State Spartans vs Michigan Wolverines, 8:00 p.m. ET
Donaldson has cashed the OVER on 1.5 three-pointers in six of his last seven meetings. However, in those seven meetings, the one game Donaldson failed to sink two three-pointers was in his last outing against the Ohio State. The Buckeyes (29.0%) coincidentally rank just a couple spots ahead Michigan State (29.2%) as the nation's eighth best perimeter defense. If the junior couldn't hit this line against the Buckeyes, he will run into the same issues against the Spartans.
Allowing opponents just a 27.1 3PT% in their last three, the Spartans haven't been giving up much from beyond the arc lately. Ranked 13th at KenPom, Michigan State is just a tough defense to work around.
Preview: Marquette Golden Eagles vs Villanova Wildcats, 7:00 p.m. ET
Some guys just aren't scared to play from the visitors bench and Chase Ross is one of 'em. The junior has steadily hit the OVER on 3.5 rebounds in five of his last six road games, averaging 4.5 rebounds in that span.
Villanova is strenuous to beat on the glass, giving up 30.9 total rebounds (ranked 17th). But, Ross tipped off against the Wildcats last month and cashed in four rebounds for us.
