Tre Johnson featured in our college basketball player props

CBB Player Props Today: Plus-Money Point Bets

March Madness is rounding the corner but up first is Tuesday's college basketball schedule, which is loaded with a handful of ranked meetings. Below I've outlined three player props for March 4 featuring two plus-money bets for Tre Johnson and Silas Demary Jr. to hit the OVER on their points. All odds courtesy of Sportsbook.

tre johnson OVER 20.5 Points Vs Mississippi State Bulldogs (+100)

Preview: Texas Longhorns vs Mississippi State Bulldogs, 8:00 p.m. ET

It's been a tough stretch for Texas, going 2-6 SU through February and its opening game in March. Regardless of the amount of L's tacked onto his team's record lately, Tre Johnson is still bulking up his stats and resume. The freshman, who leads the Longhorns with 20.6 PPG, has cashed the OVER 20.5 points in four of his last five games.

It hasn't been a smooth sailing either, posting 24 points or more against teams like No. 2 Alabama or No. 15 Kentucky in that five-game span. Allowing 73.1 PPG, the Bulldogs have a fairly middling scoring defense—worsening that mark to 91 PPG across their last three outings.

Alston Mason oVER 1.5 3PM vs arizona Wildcats (-130)

Preview: Arizona State Sun Devils vs Arizona Wildcats, 11:00 p.m. ET

The Wildcats typically allow opponents a 32.3 3PT% this season. But there's been a noticeable shift in how Arizona has protected the perimeter lately, giving up a 41.0 3PT% across its last three and coughing up a 51.4 3PT% to Iowa State last time out.

Alston Mason has exceeded 1.5 three pointers in seven of his last nine games. He has failed to cash this on his last two appearances, which happened to be road meetings in Kansas State and Utah. But, this is hour and forty minute trip to the University of Arizona isn't too taxing on the body. Plus, an inner-state rivalry always means a little extra juice from both benches.

Silas Demary Jr. oVER 15.5 points vs south carolina gamecocks (+100)

Preview: Georgia Bulldogs vs South Carolina Gamecocks, 6:00 p.m. ET

I wanted to find the best plus-money bet for you folks tonight and I'm liking what I'm seeing from Demary Jr. lately. The sophomore has eclipsed 15.5 points in six-straight campaigns, five of which were against ranked teams. Demary Jr. sank 18 points or more against No. 1 Auburn, No. 3 Florida and No. 8 Texas A&M in three of those last six games. Let's be real, the Gamecocks defense, allowing 71.2 PPG, isn't as stout as the trio of teams I just mentioned.

March 4th College Basketball Trends & Pick

Arkansas’ DJ Wagner UNDER 2.5 Rebounds (U2.5 Rebounds, -145 at Sportsbook)

DJ Wagner is hitting shots right now, posting double-digit points in seven of his last 10 games. But, he isn’t helping out on the glass. Wagner has gone UNDER 2.5 rebounds in his last five games and six of his last seven.

Tonight, Wagner plays a Vanderbilt team is pretty decent at containing opponent rebounds, allowing 34.2 opponent boards per game (169th in the nation). But, lately, the Commodores have been even better on the glass, allowing under 30 opponent rebounds in five of their last six games. There are only nine schools in the country that allow under 30 rebounds per game.
