Washington Looks to End Losing Streak Against Arizona State

It’s still too early to tell if it was too good to be true for the Washington Huskies but it will now be a tough road to the NCAAF playoffs with their ranking slipping to seven and with Alabama, Ohio State, Louisville and Michigan all currently in the playoff picture.

SHARK BITES
  • Arizona State is 10-0 SU and ATS in its last 10 matchups against the Huskies.
  • The total has gone OVER in 8 of Washington's last 9 games against its conference.
  • Arizona State is 7-2 ATS in its last 9 games against teams with winning records.

The good thing for the Huskies is that they have two very winnable games remaining on their schedule and will go into the Week 12 matchup with Arizona State as massive favorites despite their long losing streak against the Sun Devils.

That 10-game streak I’m speaking of is largely irrelevant as the Huskies are now one of the best teams in the nation and they’ve been favorites during the losing streak just once – a game they were laying just one point in.

For the Sun Devils, this matchup with Washington will be the fourth game in their last five in which they’ve faced a Top 25 team. They dropped all of the prior three games against ranked teams and are 0-4 SU in their last four total games.

This game will mark the seventh in a row that the Sun Devils have been the underdog and they will try to cover for just the third time in that span. Washington has been equally as ineffective ATS as the Huskies have failed to cover in three of their last four and the 26 points they opened laying to Arizona State would mark the second-biggest cover achieved for them all season – assuming they are successful.
